Clearance Guide

 

All Customs Clearance involves Electronic communication and electronic submissions between Cross Border Clearing and Forwarding (Pty) Ltd (“CBCF”) the clearing agent and governmental authorities. Calculating usually payment on behalf of the client duties, taxes and excises which will allow for a far better over/border experience.

The following documents are required to enable CBCF  to complete the Customs Clearance process:

 Road Freight Import and Export

  • Original Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Copy of driver’s passport
  • Copy of permits (where applicable)
  • Copy of Phyto’s (Where applicable)
  • Proof of payment for Import Vat & Duties (Where applicable)
  • Fully completed clearing instructions

Air Freight

  • Original Invoice
  • Packing List
  • Air waybill
  • House waybill
  • Fully completed clearing instructions
  • Any other supporting documents

Sea Freight

  • Original Invoice
  • Bill of lading
  • House waybill
  • Packing list
  • Fully completed clearing instructions
  • Any other supporting documents

Vehicle Clearances

  • Original Invoice
  • Driver’s passport copy
  • Police clearance
  • Vehicle registration documents
  • Proof of payment for VAT & Duties (Where applicable)
  • Fully completed clearing instructions
